At I Am H.E.R., our leadership team is dedicated to fulfilling the mission of empowering and restoring women through Christ. Our team is made up of passionate and faithful individuals who each bring unique talents, experiences, and hearts for service.
Dayshia Bell

Dayshia Bell, a 25-year-old native of Shreveport, Louisiana, is on a mission to inspire women to walk boldly in their faith and embrace their God-given purpose. As the Founder and President of I Am H.E.R., Dayshia is passionate about helping women experience healing, elevation, and restoration through a deep and personal relationship with Christ.

A proud graduate of Grambling State University, Dayshia is currently pursuing a master’s degree in counseling with aspirations of becoming a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Her daily work as a middle school educator allows her to teach, mentor, and impact the lives of sixth graders, further fueling her desire to guide others toward healing and personal growth.
Though Dayshia has known the Lord all her life, her relationship with Him truly flourished in her early twenties. Her faith journey serves as the foundation for everything she does—whether leading women through the I Am H.E.R. podcast, interceding in prayer, or creating platforms for women to connect and share their stories. The organization was birthed from Dayshia's personal struggles and triumphs, and she remains committed to fostering spaces where women can feel seen, supported, and spiritually uplifted.

Dayshia is a devoted member of Word of God Ministries in Shreveport, Louisiana, where she has grown spiritually within a nurturing and faith-filled community. She dreams of one day traveling the nation as a Marriage and Family Therapist, bringing hope and healing to couples and families.

Driven by her unwavering faith, Dayshia believes that every woman deserves to know her worth, step into her calling, and experience the transformative power of God’s love. Through her work with I Am H.E.R., she seeks to inspire others to live courageously and victoriously in Christ.

Mata Drain is a passionate advocate for community engagement and a proud member of the I AM H.E.R. team for the past 10 months. In this role, she has contributed to impactful podcasts, participated in Bible Study in the Park, and supported numerous workshops aimed at inspiring and uplifting others.
A lifelong member of Union Spring Church in Mansfield, Louisiana, Mata's spiritual journey took center stage as she grew older. After overcoming challenges such as heartbreak, alcohol abuse, and worldly distractions, she fully surrendered her life to God. Today, she serves as the Director of the Praise Dance Ministry and an active member of the Praise and Worship Team, where she finds joy in using her gifts to glorify Him.

Outside her church commitments, Mata shines as a morning news anchor at KTAL News, a dance coach at Booker T. Washington High School, and a dance instructor at Legacy Dance Studio. She is also the proud owner of a media business, where she channels her creativity to help individuals and businesses grow. Mata thrives on connecting with her community, exploring innovative outlets, and sharing her talents with those around her.

Through her involvement in the I AM H.E.R. Movement, Mata strives to be a vessel for God's work—spreading His love and giving Him all the glory.

Mata uses this scripture as reminder that there is purpose wherever you are in life:
"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
- Romans 8:28
